Acura TL was a mid-size car that was available from model year 1996 to model year 2014, across four generations. It replaced the Acura Legend coupe and sedan as well as the Acura Vigor sedan.

The first generation made I5 and V6 engines available and had a four-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. The second generation offered a V6 engine only, and a five-speed automatic transmission became available for model year 2000 and later. The third generation offered a six-speed manual transmission option, and the fourth made a six-speed auto option available.

Trims over the years included a high-performance Type-S, its successor, SH-AWD (a model with proprietary Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive), and a Special Edition. Acura TLX replaced the model in 2014.
