Acura CL was a mid-size coupe that was available in two generations, during model years 1997, 1998, and 1999 and model years 2001, 2002, and 2003. It succeeded the Acura Legend, a model that eventually became Acura RL.

The first generation offered a selection of I4 and V6 engines and four-speed automatic and five-speed manual transmissions. The second generation offered a V6 only, as well as a five-speed automatic transmission. A performance package became available in 2002, and a six-speed manual transmission was available for model year 2003 only.

Trims over the years included Premium and a sportier variant, Type S, the most powerful front-wheel drive car the brand made at the time. The Acura TL coupe replaced the model after 2003.
